About Edward
Edward T. Egan joined the Firm in 2009. His practice focuses on business, wills and estates, insurance and negligence litigation.
Prior to joining Timoney Knox, Mr. Egan was a principal in the firm of Hess, Egan, Hagerty & L'Hommedieu, Inc., in Chevy Chase, Maryland. He was in-house counsel for a firm specializing in property, casualty, surety and professional liability insurance. Mr. Egan managed all aspects of property, contractor and non-profit accounts, from underwriting, negotiating, pricing and coverage to claims handling and coordinating loss control programs.
Mr. Egan is a graduate of Catholic University School of Law (Washington, D.C.), and receievd his undergraduate degree from Mount St. Mary's College (Emmitsburg, Maryland), where he later served as a member of the Board of Trustees. He currently serves as Director of the pre-law program.
Mr. Egan is also a partner in an award-winning local Irish Pub and is active in many community organizations.
