About Edward
Mr. Mijak has provided legal services from the same location for nearly 40 years. Although engaged in the general practice of law, his primary areas of practice are real estate, probate and estate planning, business law and family law. He has also served as general counsel for the Village of Romeo, Macomb County, Michigan for 13 years.
His real estate experience includes the drafting of condominium documents for residential, industrial and commercial projects throughout the counties of Macomb, Oakland, Lapeer and St. Clair. He has previously served as a closing agent for the Farmers Home Administration and ATM Mortgage Corporation of America.
Throughout his years of practice he has prepared many estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, medical directives and powers of attorney. He has also given assistance in the probating of several estates.
As a business attorney, Mr. Mijak has provided services that include business organization, buy-sell agreements, mergers, business sales and business purchases.
In the family law area of practice his services include adoption, divorce, custody and support matters, and pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.
