About Eleanor
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Eleanor attended Temple University’s Fox School of Business, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Risk Management and Economics.
After graduating with her degree, she obtained a few years of real-life work experience in the U.S. and the U.K. During this time, she learned how difficult life can be for so many people around the world—and how it important it was for her to use her life’s work to make a positive impact in the lives of regular people in need of justice. She decided to leave her cushy insurance job in London in order to return to the U.S. to earn her law degree.
When deciding whether to attend law school in New Orleans, Washington, D.C., or Philadelphia, Eleanor made a deal with herself that if she returned to her hometown, Philadelphia, to earn her degree, she would complete Temple University’s integrated trial advocacy program to overcome her fear of public speaking. She met her future husband and law partner, Attorney Adam D. Meshkov, on her first day of law school and went on to become a powerful and confident public speaker.
Eleanor worked as a trial attorney for the Defender Association of Philadelphia for three years immediately following graduation from law school, giving a voice in the courtroom to individuals who lacked the resources to take on the government on their own. Today, Eleanor considers this strong passion for securing justice on behalf of her clients as her “true North;” it informs every aspect of what she does in her work today.
Throughout her career, Eleanor has earned a reputation as an aggressive trial attorney and has represented hundreds of adults and juveniles facing serious criminal charges. She also has extensive experience handling employment law cases.
Eleanor is an active member of the Northampton and Lehigh County bar associations. She is the recipient of the 2011 Fair Share Pro Bono Award, presented by the Northampton County Bar Association in recognition of her outstanding pro bono service to members of the communities of Northampton and Lehigh Counties.
