Eric A. Tepper is a partner in our family law, custody, and divorce attorneys firm and was born in Schenectady, New York on February 5, 1957. Mr. Tepper graduated from Hamilton College with a B.A. degree, magna cum laude, in 1979, and from George Washington University Law School with a Juris Doctor degree, with honors, in 1982. A valuable asset to our family law, custody, and divorce firm of attorneys in the Albany, Schenectady area, Attorney Tepper is admitted to the New York and Massachusetts Bars, and to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York and the District of Massachusetts. In 1999, Mr. Tepper was appointed by New York ’s Chief Administrative Judge to serve on the Statewide Committee on Matrimonial Practice. Mr. Tepper serves on the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association, Family Law Division, where he is co-chair of the Committee on Substantive Law Relating to the Family. He also currently serves on the Family Law Division’s ethics hot line. Mr. Tepper has lectured extensively, and written course material on family law, divorce, and custody issues for judicial education and continuing legal education programs for over fourteen years throughout the Albany and Schenectady area. Mr. Tepper has also lectured on matrimonial law to Supreme Court and Family Court judges on numerous occasions at Judicial Education Seminars. In 2003, Mr. Tepper was appointed to the Editorial Board for a Lexis/Nexis publication on New York Matrimonial Actions. A well-respected attorney in the region, Mr. Tepper has also lectured on matrimonial, divorce, custody, and family law for the Business Law Institute, Capital District Women’s Bar Association, Schenectady County Legal Professionals, Schenectady County Bar Association and for other community organizations in Glenville and the surrounding areas of Albany and Schenectady. In 2004, Mr. Tepper was appointed to the New York State Bar Association, Continuing Legal Education Committee. Mr. Tepper is a member of the Schenectady County Bar Association where he is presently chair of the matrimonial committee. Mr. Tepper currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Schenectady County Jewish Community Center and the Law, Order & Justice Center. Mr. Tepper is also a member of the Board of Directors of the New York Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC). He previously was on the Board of Directors of the Northeast Parent and Child Society for nine years.
