About Erica
She graduated with honors from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. with a Masters of Laws in taxation, focusing on international corporate tax law, after receiving her J.D. from the Chapman University School of Law in Orange, CA. She has a valuable depth of experience in handling cases that have gone before the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS), including IRS Whistleblower Office submissions.
Ms. Brady’s domestic tax experience includes such issues as consolidated returns; partnership / pass-through tax matters; accounting/timing for income taxes; employment taxation; financial product, financial derivative, and debt instrument taxation; intellectual property taxation; and taxation for insurance carriers. She also has worked with a broad range of international tax matters, including tax matters relating to transactions that involve foreign currencies; transfer pricing matters; and taxation involving offshore entities.
Ms. Brady is a valuable part of the team at The Ferraro Law Firm. As a Florida tax whistleblower attorney, she emphasizes the importance of providing elite, knowledgeable representation for clients facing complex tax issues. Ms. Brady is often asked to write and speak in the area of tax whistleblower claims and other tax-related matters. She was a speaker at the May 2010 meeting and the 2011 mid-year meeting of the ABA Section of Taxation on the topic of representing whistleblowers before the IRS. Her article, “Are Criminal Fines ‘Collected Proceeds’?” was published in the 2011 summer edition of the ABA Section of Taxation’s NewsQuarterly, and the February 2012 issue of Taxes – The Tax Magazine published her article “Does Tax Crime Pay (Whistleblowers).”
