About Estella
Ms. Gold is of counsel in the Business Department. She focuses her practice on intellectual property, Internet, and computer law.
Ms. Gold works closely with clients to develop licensing agreements and to enhance client's strategic position in technology markets. She frequently assists clients in the registration of intellectual property assets, as well as the enforcement of their legal rights in protecting those assets from infringers and unfair competition.
Ms. Gold has published extensively on various subjects, addressing maximizing the value of intellectual property assets. She has been invited to lecture on risk management of e-commerce claims, privacy under new Federal and State Statutes, website content, and best practices in e-commerce-related activities.
Ms. Gold received her B.A., in Mathematics, from Smith College in 1964 and her J.D. from Rutgers University in 1981. Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Ms. Gold is also admitted to appear before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the Philadelphia Intellectual Property Lawyers Association, the American Intellectual Property Lawyers Association, the Cyberspace Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association (Vice Chair), and American Bar Association. She is also certified as a neutral arbitrator in domain name disputes for ICANN, and in e-commerce disputes for the American Arbitration Association. Ms. Gold has been AV rated by the Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating system.
