Jeffrey M. Bloom was born in New York, NY. He moved to New Jersey as a young child and has lived in northern New Jersey for over fourty (40) years. Mr. Bloom received his Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration from Emory University in 1985. Thereafter, he obtained his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 1988 where he served as a member of the Editorial Board of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law. Mr. Bloom is licensed to practice law in New Jersey, New York, and the District of Columbia as well as the Supreme Court of the United States of America and various other federal courts. Jeffrey Bloom is a second generation attorney. His father, Irwin Bloom, graduated New York University Law School and practiced in New York City for over forty (40) years, primarily representing defendants and insurance companies. As a young man, Jeffrey Bloom realized that he did not want to represent corporations, but that he wanted to dedicate his career to defending the rights of individuals, including people crippled in horrible accidents or families torn apart by divorce. Francesca O’Cathain is the managing partner of the divorce, matrimonial, and family law practice at the O’Cathain Law Group. Francesca’s clients include people from all walks of life and socioeconomic backgrounds. She is one of the few family lawyers in New Jersey who takes high-end income/asset cases all the way to trial and is known in Bergen County for handling divorces of cops and teachers, as she is familiar with the unique circumstances of their finances, especially their pensions and retirement benefits. Along with high-end divorce cases, she handles contentious custody cases and has carved out a niche in handling divorces involving kids with special needs. She frequently lectures to other lawyers and judges in New Jersey and nationwide about divorces in which one or more children from the marriage have a special need. Though tempted by the climate to stay, she returned to the northeast and graduated with her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Connecticut in 2004. That fall, she followed in her mother’s footsteps and started practicing family law in New Jersey. Firmly rooted in Bergen County, Francesca now lives in Hillsdale, New Jersey, with her husband and three children. Donald W. Reeder is Counsel with Harwood Lloyd. For over a generation, his practice has concentrated in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate and Gift Tax Planning, and Estate and Trust Administration. Mr. Reeder also serves numerous clients as Executor, Trustee and/or Power of Attorney. Mr. Reeder earned his B.A. from Wesleyan University where he graduated cum laude. He received his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review. Mr. Reeder is admitted to practice before the Courts of New Jersey and New York, the District Court of New Jersey and the US Supreme Court.

James P. Logan and his brother, William E. Logan (deceased), were founding partners in 1961 of Logan and Logan, Attorneys at Law, located in Englewood, New Jersey. The firm’s name was changed in 1993 to Logan, Logan and Lindsay when Robyn Lindsay became a partner. The firm merged with Harwood Lloyd, LLP. in 2006 where Mr. Logan is now Of Counsel. Throughout his career Mr. Logan represented several Bergen County municipalities as municipal attorney, planning board attorney, board of adjustment attorney, board of education attorney and sewerage authority attorney. He also was appointed and served as a municipal judge. Practice areas of his law firm included wills, trusts and estates, real estate law, municipal law, litigation and business law. With regard to community service, Mr. Logan was a member and President of the Tenafly Board of Education, a member and Chairman of the Board of the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and President of the Tenafly Presbyterian Church Board of Trustees. Mr. Logan received his B.A. from Trinity College in 1954. Upon graduation he served as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force where he was a navigator in the Material Air Transport Service. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School in 1960. Mr. Logan is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New Jersey (1960), the United States Court of Claims, (1989) and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (1990).

Domhnall (Donny) Ó’Catháin is a New Jersey trial lawyer. He has helped his clients secure tens of millions of dollars for the injuries and economic losses they have suffered from the negligence of corporations and careless people. Donny litigates personal injury cases in state court and in federal court. So far in 2024, Donny won settlements for clients such as $170,000 for an uber crash; $300,000 for rear end car crash with surgery; $375,000 for trip and fall on stairs; and $875,000 for leg and ankle fractures caused by a negligent forklift driver. In 2017, his clients (a wife and her husband) won the largest dental malpractice jury verdict in New Jersey in a case where the defendant refused to make any offers. In 2019, his client won a $1.2 million dollar jury verdict in a case where the bus company’s final offer was $200,000. During the pandemic, he tried four virtual jury trials. Three of those cases resulted in verdicts for his clients that were more than twice the final offer by the defense. In the fourth case, the defense moved from a never-pay position to a six-figure settlement before closing statements. He has many seven figure settlements in trucking crash cases and medical malpractice cases. Most of those cases settled shortly before trial. Firms throughout the tristate area refer cases to him and other New Jersey plaintiff firms bring him in as trial counsel when a case cannot be settled. Many clients have come to him because he has been recommended by lawyers who have gone against him. Donny considers this to be a privilege and is honored to pay referring attorneys a referral fee pursuant to the New Jersey Rules of Court. Donny was born and raised in Ballincollig, Co. Cork, Ireland. He has lived in New Jersey since 2004. He and his wife – and law partner – Francesca O’Cathain, reside in Hillsdale with their three children, their dog, and whatever other dog(s) their children have smuggled into the house. When he is not with his family or at his desk, he is probably just thinking about cross-examining his next defense witness.

Carlye L. Goldstein is a partner at O’Cathain Law Group, LLC, where she practices family law. Carlye handles all areas of family and matrimonial law, from pre-nuptial agreements through divorce and into post-judgment matters. Known for her skilled writing ability, Carlye is primarily responsible within the firm for overseeing appellate briefs and the legal memoranda submitted in heavy-duty motions. While handling her own caseload of divorce cases, Carlye also handles all domestic violence cases within the firm. Domestic violence is one of the few areas of family law that involves regular trial appearances, and she has extensive experience doing that. Before Carlye entered private practice, she spent two years as a staff attorney at Partners for Women & Justice, a 501(c)(3) charity that provides legal advice to the victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Carlye’s practice at O’Cathain Law Group, LLC continues to help the victims of domestic violence and people who have been wrongly blamed for domestic violence. The outcome of a domestic violence trial has a significant impact on the parenting time, custody, relocation, and visitation issues that arise in a regular divorce. Her experience in handling the domestic violence part of a divorce has given her clients the reassurance they need to focus on getting the best result for themselves and their families in the overall divorce. Carlye’s commitment to legal advocacy to the underserved began while she was a student at Seton Hall Law School where she was a member of the Courtroom Advocates Project. In addition, she was a member of the Seton Hall Center for Social Justice which submitted an amicus curiae brief to the New Jersey Supreme Court to advocate against the discoverability of immigration status in civil cases. When not discussing work at the office, Carlye will always be available to offer ideas about house remodeling with a family, what treats should be given to dogs, and what whiskey is best left unopened. David McBride is Counsel with Harwood Lloyd in its Commercial and Real Estate Department. Mr. McBride received his B.A. from Georgetown University in 1969 and his J.D. from Georgetown University School of Law in 1973. He has experience in real estate transactions, including commercial closings, residential closings, co-operative transfers and lease negotiations. Mr. McBride is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New Jersey (1973) and the courts of the State of New York (1983).
