Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

I recently settled a case that had been turned down by a couple of big firms and some other smaller firms. The result of the settlement was 7 figures and very happy clients who did not expect to receive such an amazing result.

How did you build a successful practice?

Perseverance, determination and loyalty to my client's interest.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Someone who is working for them and seeking the best for them at all times. Legally, we can always challenge the opposing side, but that is sometimes more detrimental then trying to reach an amicable solution.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

I am an attorney who handles cases primarily in Central Florida. I know and understand my community. When I handle an auto accident, I will know the intersection or the light sequence. When I handle a bankruptcy, I know the trustees. Being involved in the community and knowing your community is instrumental to successfully handling cases for my clients.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

I believe that a free consultation is important to determine if the firm is a fit for the client and if the client is a fit for the firm. Not every client fits perfectly to our business model. The first consultation is to develop trust and understanding of what the law is and what the firm can do for the client under the circumstances of their case.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

Depending on the case, I will need information about the accident, the streets, the time of day, the injuries and the insurance companies. In a bankruptcy, I need to know the client's income and debts. In an estate planning case, I need to learn about the clients assets, debts, and wishes both in life and after death. In immigration, the needs will vary depending on the type of immigration case.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

I like to look outside the box for options in handling a case. Strategy is important. In order to be able to look outside the box and strategize, I review my cases monthly and I along with my staff ensure that communication is constant with the clients. Ultimately, I will fight for my clients with passion and grit.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

It varies depending on the kind of case. However, overall I find most joy in the many happy clients that I have had the pleasure to represent.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

I love to spend time with my family. I am a mother, wife and grandmother. My weekends are dedicated to spending time with my family. I also love to travel.

Are you involved in your community?

I and the firm are involved in many community matters. Primarily, I like to help where I see there is need. Therefore, I do not devote all my energy to one foundation or organization. If someone needs something, I will help them. If an organization needs something, I will help them. If my clients need something, I will help them.
