About Stuart

Stuart graduated from Syracuse University with a BA degree in 1969. After his undergraduate work, he got his J.D. Degree in 1972 from Brooklyn Law School. One of his first areas of practice was in Construction Law and Real Estate working for one of the largest general contractors/developers in Central New York. He helped with the development of malls, large commercial buildings, and residential developments throughout upstate New York, including condominium and land subdivisions.

He is experienced in security arbitration litigation and transactional law including contract disputes and not-for-profit representation. He has served as the Marcy Town Attorney and the Paris Town Attorney. He is currently the Bridgewater Town Attorney as General Counsel and Litigation Counsel for Zoning and Planning Boards and he defends the town’s Real Estate Tax Appeals.

He is also the Oneida County and Herkimer County Examiner of Guardian Accounts reviewing all annual guardian reports for incapacitated persons. He has served as the AAA Arbitrator, a Certified FINRA Arbitrator, Certified Domestic Relations Fee Dispute Arbitrator, and has served on the Oneida County Bar Fee Dispute Committee.

When he’s not preparing for a case, Stuart likes to travel with his wife, Liz. If it’s a summer weekend, you will most likely find them at Lake George in the beautiful Adirondacks. Stuart grew up in Carthage, NY. He has two grown children and he and Liz live in Clinton, NY.
