Aegis Professional Services is an amoral greedy law firm. They ripped me off for $1,000 just to become a state incorporated non profit organization. Then they tried to further fraud me into paying over $5,000 to become 501c3. They claimed it would cost this much because it would take "hours of research" and the IRS "never" approves a 501c3 application on the first submission. They LIED. A friend of mine helped me for FREE to fill out and submit my 501c3 application. It was approved by the IRS in just 6 weeks. Then I found out I could have gotten FREE legal help to start my non profit organization from Legal Services of Eastern Missouri Inc. Now my FREE lawyer is looking over my By-laws and articles of incorporation and she said they will need to be revised! She said Aegis put language in my paperwork which will make it difficult for me to run my organization. My last payment of $500 did not come through, and so now they're hounding me like a collection agency. All this after from the very beginning I told them I was a start up non profit organization with very little funds. These people have no shame. Besides this post, I'm going to continue to search for ways to complain against them. By the way, when my friend looked at my articles of incorporation and By-laws, he said it looked like the lawyer copied and pasted it and just changed a few words and names. I fully regret ever coming into contact with Aegis Professional Services.
