Alan F. Smietanski Attorney At Law

Reviews

The office person was friendly on the phone and in person. Mr. Smietanski was polite and somewhat personable in discussing his "old school" ways such as wearing a wind-up watch. He wrote all of my information on a legal pad (it would have saved a lot of time if he would have had me provide my name, address, phone number, and email address myself). I was there for a consultation, and while I appreciate that he did not charge me, it turned out not to be a consultation at all. He termed it an "interview." That is actually a fairly accurate characterization, as he was basically interviewing me as a potential client. I wanted a consultation to answer some questions regarding a legal matter, but he refused to give me any information whatsoever as he said it would be a liability risk for him. I was not asking for advice or direction, merely information. He said he did not want to take the case and therefore refused to answer any questions at all, even on a theoretic basis. It was a complete waste of time to have made this appointment. I will offer some advise myself though - stay away from this lawyer.
This picks and chooses there cases. Just because your issue falls in their expertise does not mean that they will take the case. They they send you to a phone number where are on hold for 15-45 minutes and then the number disconnects on you. I do not recommend.
Worthless called for consultation secretary said we dont take cases like this referred me to a hotline that would give me a suitable lawyer. Hotline referred me back to this lawyer.so i called back then this secretary got an attitude!
Very unprofessional and rude over the phone. Speaks at you and will cut you short. It's either yes sir or no sir. Hung up on me before i could even answer a question, right before my appointment. Only pro, saved me from driving an hour + for a consultation.
I had a great experience the office manager was very pleasant and extremely helpful. I would recommend this law firm to everyone!
