I have used Amy Brooks for my past oral surgeries, she is awesome and sweet and very open to working with Deaf clients and providing communication accessibility when needed! However, be warned, her office staff has a very strict policy where if you cancel two or more appointments, you will have to start paying upfront before you can even confirm another appointment. Apparently because during Covid 19 pandemic , despite a pandemic because I cancelled an appointment, the office staff still held that on my record. It didn't matter if I had given prior notice, they still marked it against me without notifying me. So I had seek services elsewhere. Dr. Brooks is a fantastic oral surgeon but her front office staff are very, very strict with their policies, so tread carefully with your appointments there. If it wasn't for the strict policy cancellation without notifying their clients, I would give them a 5 star review. I would recommend that they adopt a notification system to allow their clients a heads up that they have cancellation strikes on their record, once they do that, I might change my review to 4 to 4.5
Amy and her staff were incredibly kind, gracious, and effective. They successfully extracted my 80 year old Mom's infected wisdom tooth that was very close to touching a nerve. We were informed of the potential risks of the surgery, but the procedure and recovery both went great.
I can't say enough about Dr. Brooks and her staff. I have severe dentist anxiety, which is how I eneded up in her office with an impacted wisdom tooth and pretty gnarly looking molar. They def helped ease that anxiety and had all my previous dental work been as smooth as those extractions were, I wouldn't hate it nearly as much. Highly recommend.
Dr. Brooks and all of her staff are very kind and professional. I am recovering well and have had little to no pain or discomfort. Dr. Brooks even called me personally a few hours after the surgery to check on me and make sure everything was okay. I was extremely nervous about having my wisdom teeth removed, but they made me feel comfortable and made the experience a lot better.
First thing that I noticed was the dead lizard next to the toilet. Really gross for a dental office. (It had been there for a bit too as I looked and seen it crusty) But if you have anxiety at all, and this person was recommended ABSOLUTELY don't go see this person. She's absolutely rude when she talks to you and when she talks to you she keeps her eyes closed. For a person dealing with the public and people with anxiety, she seems to have lost her way. Her staff was wonderful, absolutely tried their best to calm me down, but when she came into the room it's completely different. Talks over you, doesn't look you in the eyes, raises her voice at you if you can't answer quickly enough. I'll never recommend this person EVER. I can tell her practice is going to fail with the continuous low reviews this place gets. I'll pay tomorrow but I will never recommend this place to anyone. I work with the public and this is not how you treat someone having difficulty trying to talk not just because of anxiety but because the dentist is absolutely rude and has disgusting behavior. I should have cancelled the appointment and not driven over 1 hr to get there.... She is another dentist that makes me never want to go back. I tell that to her face with my eyes closed ???????????update if you try and review/not recommend them, they shut off that feature. I'm finding a lot more negative reviews on other websites including low scores on communication as well as returning patients. Check vitals .com for more reviews. Check everywhere before seeing this lady. Like I said the staff was wonderful how they were trying to help me but this lady needs to just retire if that's how shes treating people.
