I have had the pleasure of working with both David Van Dyke and Mary Ann Bird for the last 1-1/2 years. I am 77 years old and have owned and operated two businesses with my wife for over 40 years. My wife and I have worked with a significant number of attorneys over the years including criminal, contract issues, real estate and tax lawyers. Our experience with David and Mary Ann has been the best. They accomplished everything we hoped for as attorneys and we had a successful outcome with a technical and complex case. Some of the characteristics we appreciated include communication; they responded to all of our phone calls, text messages and emails promptly with down to earth sensible answers. Knowledge; both Mary Ann and David have been full time attorneys for many years. This experience makes them experts in the areas of law that they specialize in. They have credibility with the courts; they have been successfully working with the judges and clerks in San Joaquin County for a long time. They understand the system and how it works. This was particularly beneficial to my case. Their fees are fair, they did not overcharge. They were friendly and interested in my case, they put me at ease. These characteristics built trust with me and trusting my attorney is important. It would be difficult to find a better attorney than David or Mary Ann in my opinion.

Ms. Bird and Mr. Vandyke are such amazing lawyers. They help me so much in my case and I don’t know what I would do with out them. Amazing will go above and beyond. You definitely want them on your side there support staff also go beyond and above. I hope I don’t need them again but if I do I will definitely call them again.

Both attorneys Bird and Van Dyke are very professional. My main attorney Bird was able to win two cases for me, securing better, more reasonable plea deals, after it was said they would in no way be lowered. She made herself completely available not only to me, but to my mother at all times. And going through these tough times, that kind of support is definitely valuable.

When I was in trouble and didn’t know what to do, I was told by a friend that Bird and Van would help me with my case. I am SO thankful someone referred me to Mary Ann because she was an absolute lifesaver!! She throughly explained the process to me, was in constant contact with me the entire time, and always kept me updated on my case. She actually got my sentence reduced dramatically, I only had to pay a small fine instead of the alternative… Recently, I had something else pop up and I went back to Mary Ann without any hesitation. She couldn’t help me with my particular situation but got me in contact with someone who she trusted could help me. I took her advice and reached out to them. Again, I am very happy with the outcome of that case. That’s the second time she pulled through for me, even if it meant referring me to someone else! In the last couple years my son was facing serious charges. I honestly didn't believe the time fit the crime so I was willing to invest in an attorney.
