This is an amazing and upbeat temple! Most of the service is sung, it's super uplifting, and is usually well attended. If you've always wondered what a Jewish temple was like, or looking for a new "home," or seeking a safe place to renew the spirit, come to a Friday night service. All faiths are welcomed here, all unique people are welcome too. Can't ask for a more enjoyable way to spend a Friday evening.....
Totally special are the jews. They are Eli's chosen people. I have great compassion for the Jews as they have been truly and unduly persecuted. Their synagogue is an awesome place of reverence to love, honor and worship worship the Lord our God who is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob worthy to be worshipped, praised, and to serve the Lord with humility and freedom. I have total respect and love for each and every one of God's chosen people.
Warm, welcoming congregation. Rabbi is personable, charming, and very bright. Tries to remember not only names of over 300 family congregants, but frequent visitors to the Temple. Been going to Temple Services for a long time, and
This temple is the reformed temple in Asheville and it's as close to a "mega temple" as Asheville will come to one. Very upbeat, tons of lively singing, very welcoming and inclusive. Often people from area churches come to visit too. No one's going to be offended by services here, it's a super friendly group. A BIG super friendly group! Music as excellent, Rabbi Merri is delightful, the choir sings one service a month, there's also a family service that's designed for children of all ages held the first Friday of the month (and 1 hr earlier). And they take security seriously here. I always feel invigorated and update after Friday night service here.....
If you have Jewish roots, you could not have found a better community of good Jewish folks.
