These people are crooked... Social services removed my kids when they were not neglected and put them somewhere where they get hit on by an alcoholic and all the do is wake up real early go to daycare get home eat and go to bed. They don't go to Drs appointments either but they were neglected at my house. Don't get me started on the food stamps or medical.. they tell you they have all your paperwork and when it comes time to get your food stamps they give you some reason why you didn't get em. The medical they wait until you need insurance to cut your insurance. Yaw ought to be ashamed of yourselves. It's a department thats supposed to help families but instead they tear families apart and hurt the kids with lies and deception to convince judges to remove kids
This place is not enough services to citizens! nFull of lack educated workers!

Although I had a rather lengthy wait to see a case worker, Cynthia who worked nwith me was wonderful. She took her time to really understand the problem and made a call to another person to check that the way she was proceeding was correct. She was kind, patient and most of all, helpful!
I applied for food stamps 3 days after I lost my job on Nov. 21st. Did the app online and interview for verifying on the phone. Got paperwork in the mail for more verification - filled it all out, uploaded it online. It took almost 3 weeks for them to respond by mail, saying they couldn't open the attachments for the files I uploaded, and that I needed to mail, fax or physically drop off the documents. I elected to drop them off in person, thinking this would make the process a little smoother. At the time, there $0 in income in my household. The case was supposed to be expedited. After dropping off everything I was supposed to, and being told by a lady there that I should get my card in 7 to 10 business days, about 2 weeks later I get a letter stating my case had been denied due to lack of documentation!! After attempting to call this office dozens of times and never getting thru, I finally got fed up and called the Ombudsman in Frankfort. He took 5 seconds, looked a my case and told me the lady at this office had scanned THE WRONG SIDE of my papers, hence the denial. I specifically asked him, so they made a mistake, correct? And he said yes, go back up there, bring your documents, tell them and you should get everything fixed. By the way, Google maps is wrong on the time also... This office closes at 4:30PM, NOT 5:00PM. I wasted 2 bus trips and a few hours of time yesterday thanks to that incorrect info. We've been without sufficient food for most of the last 3 months in my household because of this. We literally had to choose to buy food over paying rent this month and had to get assistance and almost got kicked out because of this. This is by far the WORST I've ever seen of a government office. I understand they're probably overworked and underpaid, but people applying for food stamps or assistance do so because they NEED IT. A fair assumption would be that the employees here take the extra five seconds to do their jobs correctly. If they did, maybe their phone lines wouldn't constantly be at capacity, to the point where you HAVE to come in physically. Ugh.
