I have known John for several years and worked with him on Medicaid, Probate, and Trust litigation issues. He is devoted to Medicaid planning and chairs the Florida Bar Medicaid planning committee and is always willing to help and is a great source of knowledge on the topic. If you are int eh Crystal River area of Florida, I would highly recommend looking at John and his team.

I made an appt regarding a POA for my elderly Mom. My consult with John lasted about 30 minutes on a Thur afternoon. I was charged $350.00 for the consult and $150.00 for the POA which was to be ready on Monday...Mom passed away on Sunday. I was refunded the $150.00 for the POA, but I believe that $350.00 for a consult was entirely too greedy. $350.00 for both the consult AND the POA would have been appropriate in my view. I was referred to Clardy by two people whose opinion I trust, and they were both shocked at the consult fee. Is he a good attorney?...most likely. Does a consult over a simple POA justify a $350.00 fee? Not in this reviewers opinion. I will neither be using nor recommending his services in the future.

I left a voice mail with this law firm to inquire about their estate planning services for my mother and as of four days later I have not heard back from them. I guess business is good but I hope that blowing off potential clients works as well for them down the road. God Bless.
