Terrible!!! Been trying to contact Chris Twyman for over a month, consulted with him in Feb 2024 and seemed ready to take my case, tried contacted him 4 voicemail calls and an email “NO RESPONSE”, front office staff very rude!!! No courtesy at all to say at least you don’t want to or have time to proceed with my case anymore.
The firm handled the closing for the sale of property located in Stewart County, GA. The closing was held in Rome GA, requiring overnight scrambling by sellers to provide necessary paperwork. The closing was on held on Jan 14. The firm did not wire transfer proceeds, but rather sent checks via UPS. We are now 11 days past closing, and checks are "seemingly lost' and no one at the firm seems interested in helping to resolve the lost funds. Voice mails are not readily returned, but the attorneys have been paid, as have the real estate agent/broker. Seller still awaiting funds. Worth noting on your next sales contract what closing agent will NOT be used to handle the transaction. Plenty of others in the business who can deliver a more professional and timely closing for you.
This firm closed on my home and wrote a will. I've called three times to have a trust written and have yet to have Steve return my calls.
We could not have asked for a better lawyer for the closing of our home than Caleb Ratliff! He made everything so easy to understand and got us in and out of the office in record time!
Highly recommend Caleb Ratliff at Cox Byington Twyman. Our closing process was organized, detailed, and well executed.
