DeKalb County Law Office of the Public Defender -Juvenile Division

Marcus Sellars attorney does not return calls. Was told once my fees were paid that in 6 weeks the charge would be taken off my record. That was 5 months ago. Legally he's still my attorney however i can never get a hold of him or get returned calls after many many messages. This has cost me several jobs.

Gina Bernard hasn't returned emails, phone calls, anything in months, I have yet to speak to her once, I have been so patiently waiting, never once have I been disrespectful or out of line, to be treated this way, is unheard of and unprofessional, meanwhile my boyfriend is sitting in the Dekalb County Jail not knowing anything about his case, halting his future, while he's trying to put this behind him

Unfortunately my sons attorney Elizabeth Ura hasn't returned emails, phone calls, anything in months, I have yet to speak to her once, I have been so patiently waiting, never once have I been disrespectful or out of line, to be treated this way, is unheard of and unprofessional, meanwhile my son is sitting in the Dekalb County Jail not knowing anything about his case, halting his future, while he's trying to put this behind him, I would truly expect better for our community and young adults.

My son's public defender has been excellent in helping him get the mental health concerns addressed and the needed medical assistance.

We all have a job to do
