I hope the Ohio Attorney General's office investigates these guys. I wonder if they have a rule where they deny 100% of all premise liability claims. Seriously, I wonder. They take a tough situation (fielding premise liability claims - often times a majority of claims are denied as the claimant may be at fault for most of them) and become zealous advocates for the insured (property owners / managers). They often refuse to open a claim, don't provide claim numbers, and stonewall many of the stakeholders (lienholders, claimants, etc.) - all of this assuming a complaining injured party. I found Mike Conelley to be abrasive, but the entire office is working on one stonewalling system. My interactions with them were questioning if they were acting in bad faith deliberately. (Obviously premise liability claims have a high denial rate. That said, they make it difficult to open a claim, with a complaining claimant having to hire an attorney.) I hope investigating entities, like the Ohio Attorney General's Office, looks into them.
If you are a mall and thinking about using this company as risk management they are great about dragging out the process and under estimating damage! Actually to the point that I was willing to settle for about 50% for the damage caused at a local mall... unfortunately they draw things out so long that at this point something that should have been easy to deal with has grown to the point two months later where the hassle in dealing with the Pipino company has me so frustrated and angry that I am now speaking to legal counsel and plan on getting the full amount of damage covered as well as the time that I have wasted dealing with this issue. So in closing I was friendly and willing to pay for 50% of the car repair myself....but due to the fact that I am without a car for two months I no longer feel that I should have to pay $1500 out of my own pocket for negligence on their part. If they would work in a professional and timely manner they could have actually saved money.... wait what is risk management all about again?
Worse company to deal with hands down!! Got my truck jacked up at one of their local malls and I’ve been having it like that for 2 months now. It’s a hassle to try and get to contact with any of them! Will be taking legal action just because I’m fed up in trying to contact them. Left several voicemails never heard back from them. I wouldn’t even rate it a star. Watch out fellas.????????
