Just off the National Mall is a spacious park tucked away within government buildings. There are benches where locals eat lunch and read books and there are a few sculptures in the park like a replica of the ancient Greek sculpture Discobolus and a John Dreyfuss abstract baseball sculpture.
Nice area. I park in the garage for work! So convenient don’t have to worry about street parking
Good place to stop and get your bearings. It is located between the Mall with the Vietnam and Lincoln Memorials, DAR, Dacor-Bacon house, GW University, Tonic pub, IMF, Red Lion Row, on the way to the Renwick and White House.
During the week 6-8 food trucks stop here for the lunch crowd. Some benches covered by shade to sit on.
What can I say it's in the capital of our great nation.
