This once prestigious South Carolina law firm, with a venerable history of civility, professionalism, and public service dating back to 1837 when it was originally founded by Patrick Henry Nelson II, has lost its path in this good world and lost touch with God. The reason, and it pains me to say this, is because of ONE BAD APPLE that is spoiling the entire barrel. That bad apple is named Mark F. Raymond, and he is a partner who actually threatened to file a criminal complaint with the police if I sued him for legal malpractice. Really? I thought the United States Constitution allowed me to file a civil lawsuit if somebody causes me harm. But why is a licensed lawyer allowed to use his power, and the power of his entire 1,000 lawyer firm that is over 187 years old, to silence me and stop me from exercising my constitutional right to file a civil lawsuit? I won't say what Mr. Raymond did wrong because I am not that type of person. And I have already filed my lawsuit against him. But I do not like be threatened. I think the Bar Association should put the fear of God back into Nelson Mullins before Patrick Henry Nelson starts rolling around in his grave wondering why his good memory has been tarnished.
