Well, nobody wants to have to retain a divorce lawyer, and I did my research meeting with several lawyers before retaining Eric — I made the right choice! I even told Eric he was the best part of the worst part of my life! It was a complicated divorce that involved the family court system, other legal drama and many twists and turns. It’s such an intensely stressful and painful experience especially when children are involved, but Eric always gave me honest, sound, practical and knowledgeable counsel. He was thoughtful about not burning money and time on foolish endeavors and was always responsive to my questions, concerns and fears. Also, he is highly strategic and understands the system and how to maneuver in the most effective way. I also felt he had great integrity and believes in justice, he is going to always advise you to do the right things, which was a clear juxtaposition with opposing council, that I think the judges even noticed. In the end, I was granted absolutely everything I wanted and I give credit to Eric for his support, knowledge and fortitude. Also, Jeffrey (paralegal) is great to work with - exudes compassion and understanding, he was on the receiving end of a few crying phone calls from me and handled it like a champ.

I can say with 110 percent confidence that Eric will be your best option if you are dealing with a divorce and or custody battle. I felt like I was going to lose my two boys to a real bad situation that would have been detremetial to their well being. Being a single father at the time, which is a handicap to begin with, he was able to make the judge see that I was serious about my intentions to be a good father to my boys. Eric is super reliable, even after all these years he's always there if you need him. Super smart guy who helps you through a tough divorce, by making sure you fully understand the process. Especially, if you're a young Dad who doesn't know a thing. Hire him, you won't be disappointed!

I wanna clarify that the previous review I left (1 star) was an accident. I did not receive any notifications that I had posted this review. I want to say that I am thankful that the office reached out to me to let me know so I could correct this issue. I have never been in contact with Eric C. Nelson’s office before. My apologies to the firm, I wish I was notified about this sooner so I could’ve corrected it immediately. I hope that this serves as a resolution to the problem. Thank you.

Eric was my lawyer in a case that needed determination, persistency, knowledge of the matter, and the ability to work with an opposing party that was making things difficult. He showed the ability to be flexible when necessary and firm when needed. The outcome was everything I hoped for it to be and I'm very grateful and thankful for his work.
