Attorney Guo has recently helped me closed on my condo and overall she made it a very smooth experience. I was personally very impressed by her professionalism in attention to detail and her ability to explain complicated contract language in simple terms. She is also very prompt with response to question and able to navigate challenging request. I would highly recommend her for any real estate transactions.
Attorney Guo helped me to review the commercial lease for my business. I am so impressed by all the notes and post-it she made to the lease, which greatly helped me to understand all the details. Very clear and well organized, taking care of all details with great patience. She also has great experience in negotiating and working out the lease revisions with the landlord. Thank you for making the lease execution smoothly.
Very professional attorney in real estate transaction( Sell my Apartment in Flushing, NY and purchase one-family house in New Hyde park), help me solve so many problems and give the best advices. Will stay with her all time for professional legal purposes.
Not the most respectful or grateful lawyer. Definitely rushes her work and her communication with clients. Her initial contract had our two-family home written as a one-family home. Thank god I caught it and had her change it. This was my mother's and my first time selling a home. At closing she went over every document we had to sign, which is normal for closing. The problem was that when she explained one of the lengthy documents. I asked her politely if she could just explain that one document again because she went through it too fast for any non-lawyer to understand. She then overreacted and said "you expect to repeat all that again?" Yes, because I couldn't understand what you were saying in your broken English. It's you, not me. Just because I'm younger and not a lawyer doesn't mean I need to take your $h*t. My mother's an immigrant and can't speak English at all or Chinese all that well, so of course I want to make sure everything's right so that she's not taken advantage of and we don't run into any problems down the road. You're always supposed to know what you're signing, right? Plus, she made the mistake of nearly contracting our home as a single family home to begin with, so yeah, I'm going to double-check everything after that. She made it seem like I was wasting her time. That was the only question I had during closing, for one document, and the only time we ever communicated. She needs to realize she's not the only one stressed and busy in this world. I guess she thinks her time's more valuable than her client's? What are we paying you for then? 3 stars only because her office staff Nancy was respectful and professional and followed up to make sure everything was ready. Take your chances. I'd avoid her if you're looking for a stress-free home-selling experience. UPDATED The lawyer emailed me back months after my review and apologized by essentially saying 'sorry you got in your feelings.' Her exact words were "I am sorry that you have the feeling and comment on google post..." I'm sorry too, I'm sorry you're too immature to realize the only reason this Google review exists was because you got in YOUR feelings at closing. Updated to 1 star.
I was stuck in by my previous attorney in the middle of my transaction. Attorney Guo was highly recommended by my friend and took over my case, very detail-oriented and resolved the troubles caused by previous attorney and brought a happy closing for my transaction. Many thanks for their professional help!
