My wait time was 23 minutes and then the person who finally picked up could not answer the simple but vital question I asked pursuant to direction from my firm's benefit administrator. I did get a case number though and was told to call back again(for a no-doubt equally long hold time) in a few days. This is a very poorly run organization and ND State insurance regulators should look into it.

I've had a pretty good experience with Discovery Benefits and am surprised at these other reviews. At first I had some issues, but after a few years I've learned the system well enough that I now have very few problems. You just need to keep your ITEMIZED statements/receipts and make sure to scan and upload them in a timely manner. You also need to know what items are covered under medical flex, and which aren't. Finally, you need to make sure the dates of service fall within the plan year. It's pretty simple once you get used to it. I love using my debit card for co-pays and prescriptions - very convenient, and you don't need itemized receipts for those. Dependent care has also gone smoothly once I got it set up - they deposit directly into my bank account every time I get a paycheck. nnThe only problem I have anymore is that the wait time is quite long when I do need to call, and the hold music is terrible! Please change it! :)

Called into customer service, 10 minute estimated wait time was over an hour. Customer service rep told said "well, Mondays are usually busy". How about you hire some more agents Discovery Benefits ? Topping it off, the rep was only able to provide me basic information I already had available to me on the website. Waste of time just to take advantage of a little tax benefit.

This is the worst company. The company I work for has used them for the length of the contract and then they went with someone else. On the employee side, many are frustrated. Your money is held hostage by incompetent staff. Good luck trying to get a reimbursement. The documentation that is provided by your doctor's office even with a receipt is usually not good enough, and no one can ever give details on why. Just an endless cycle of generic denial letters and commonly asked questions. With my FSA it is "use it or lose it", and although I've had documented medical encounters, I guess I'll be "losing" it, since I can't seem to get my money. 200+ one star reviews can't be wrong about it.

I tried an online chat. Their site gave me an error message that it couldn't open a chat session, but no indication of why. I called their toll free number. After an hour on hold, I got a recorded message about technical difficulties and it hung up.nnI posted that exact information on Yelp, and they responded to it within minutes saying they were unaware of the problem. At the same time, I had gotten through in a chat session and the employee I was chatting with said they were aware of the problem and working on it. I had already sent email about it. It took them minutes to deny that they were aware of the problem on Yelp, but a day later they haven't responded to my email.
