Hired this lawyer, to handle a divorce case. He gave me a price to do the case . Well he didn't stay with that price, and then some of the paper work was done wrong. So when it was brought up that the wrong paper work was filed. He failed to admit he done wrong and then did the right paper work, and charge for that service. Also be aware he also charge 60.00 to respond to a E-mail about the mistake., and also charge another 40.00 to respond to a E-mails there were many E-mails and many attach charges for the E-mails. Be careful hiring this lawyer make him sign a contract when it was to be a flat fee. I would not use him again. Also the office lady is his wife, and she not professional to the fact she hung up on me, When I told her I felt we were over charge. But because she is his wife they protect each other. She's rude. If any one has been treated like this file a complaint with the bar. By the way don't you all think 40-to 60 is a bit much to charge to read a E-mail and respond to that E-mail .
He was my landlord for three years. After I moved out of a house, Gary was telling people where I tried to move to that I owed over $10,000 for repairs. This house was falling apart and he got sued by his tenent before me and tried blaming me. He gave a bad rep bout me when I moved and made me homeless.
This attorney charged us for "work" that my wife actually accomplished, charged 250 to print 19 pages as well. Bill went above our retainer without a call, email or any notice. His work was incompetent and we ended up fixing all of our paperwork again. Bottom line, 2300 to get him to file paperwork to get us into court. Buyer beware.
$1,000 retaining fee for advice and a continuance in a landlord case. Only response was he can do that for Kansas Law and complete disregard for tenants rights and did not address the violation of disability act.
If you're looking for a decent human being that's also a lawyer. Gary is your guy. He has handled all my legal work for the past 20 years. I would recommend him to my mother.
