On a $300 HOA bill they charge $500 in fees!!! I tried to explain my spouse is on disability and has another surgery next week; and that we just got behind on things because of medical issues the last several months. Told them we can pay the principle balance of $300, but no way can we afford such astronomical fees and that we are trying to avoid bankruptcy from medical bills. Attorneys response was " oh well, we'll just put a lien on your house then." nnHORRIBLE PEOPLE! No decency or care at all to work with people, she just kept saying "I dont work for free!" I then said I can try to pull money together for an extra $100 above my principle balance to cover some of the fees, she laughed. (Mind you, ALL they have done is send me a cookie cutter collection letter...and they want $500 for it!?!?!) nnI said what about a payment plan then? She said, "sure, but its gonna cost you more because then I have to do more work! If I have to type up a payment plan, you'll have to pay me for it." WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?? They're seriously going to charge me even more to write down my payment plan?? At this point Im in tears begging her to please be reasonable. They dont care what your situation is, they WILL NOT work with you. Unethical and money hungry. I completely understand HOA dues are important, but life happens. nnNOTE: I tried to pay my dues to this firm today, they wouldnt let me because I couldn't afford to pay their $500 collection fee on top of it, they told me my bill is "just going to keep getting bigger if I dont pay their fees." I simply dont have it. nnI wonder how my HOA would feel knowing they could have gotten these dues paid today, but Goodman was too greedy to accept the principle balance plus an additional $100 in fees. I encourage HOA's not to associate themselves with such a lowly law firm.

My experience with Mr. Goodman has been nothing short of top notch. His expertise in his field is impressive. As an HOA industry professional, it is hard to find an attorney who strives to provide superior service always. Excellent communication and very competitive fees. Wouldn't use anyone else!
