Goodsell & Olsen
Reviews
I've done business with a partner at this firm. Once in person, it was a great consultation, but getting the business done was, and continues to be painful. Every time I call to ask a question, or have something done, I get promised a call by the afternoon or end of day. At the end of the week or next week when I remember that no one called back, I call and the person at the front desk has the audacity to often either blame me ("you left a message? Your phone must have cut out...we never got it."), OR will tell me that they had other priorities. Horrific. Additionally, they are so off balance at this firm that they once forwarded a huge negative, contentious email string between a partner and a client (not us) to my wife. In it, someone else is accusing this firm of ignoring calls and not doing work. I'm moving my business...as soon as they call me back.
some of the reviews i read shock me!! i have dealt with BOTH mike olsen and dan goodsell. business issues, personal and then our wills! i have found this firm to be fair and honest. there have been times that i was told NOT to pursue and issue, as i would win, but it would cost me more then what i would recover. or i would win on principle, but they helped me to realize that winning on principle could be very expensive and probably not worth it. also, i have referred at least 4 people to the firm, that have had nothing but great experiences with them. i won't go anywhere else!!
From our first appointment we knew we were in the right place. This law office guided us through every step of our adult daughter's guardianship hearing. Such a pleasant experience. We will be back for all our estate planning and guardianship needs!
The first attorney assigned was not a probate attorney and was waiting to start his own business, he quit without notice. Frivolous lawsuits lasted two and a half years, I think the attorneys should have been more aggressive in stopping these. The will states attorney fees are paid out of the estate, this means nothing. The closing attorney fees should have been taken out of everyone’s distribution instead of just the trustee. The experience left me with the feeling they only cared about themselves, not making sure everything was fair.
Well, let me start by saying WOW! and that is not good! My grandmother had a trust, and Dan Goodsell, took it to probate! Its a trust and he took it through probate, which we all know is a very expensive plan. Sure enough, bam! were paying him 400.00 an hour, and his 1st year paralegal is doing EVERTHING! IF YOU TRY TO GET ON THE PHONE WITH MR. GOODSELL, HE IS ALWAYS WITH A CLIENT. YET I WAS IN THERE NUMBEREOUS TIMES AND HE HAS HIS FEET UP ON THE DESK, THROWING A BALL IN THE AIR. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT HE, AT THE END, NETTED A LITTLE OVER $30,000.00....... MY AUNT DID EVEN SEE THAT MUCH, ALL WHEN IT COULD HAVE BEEN HANDLED 1,2,3, BUT NO PROBATE, PROBATE THEN BANK OF AMERICA WRONGED FULLY FORECLOSES ON US, AND WE CALL ATTORNEY DAN GOODSELL AND HE CALLS MY AUNT A "CHARITY CASE"....... REALLY, AFTER YOU MADE OFF WITH THIRTY GRAND PLUS!?! I AM USING MY 1ST AMMENDMENT RIGHT AND SAYING, Daniel Good sell is a GREEDY, GREEDY MAN..... REALLY THINK HARD, I HOPE U THE BEST!
