Paulette has been my family law attorney, counsel, and coach during a lengthy and high-conflict divorce. Her knowledge of the law and depth of experience provided me the foundation for completing a challenging process. I was referred to Paulette and was told that she was the best in McHenry County, and always ensures that her clients were treated fairly. Well this was an understatement. Paulette went above and beyond. Perhaps the thing that impressed me most about Paulette was nothing was "sugar coated". She was very straight forward, direct, insightful, and told me what to expect each step of the way. Going thru the separation and divorce from start to finish, Paulette kept me informed of each step and what the options were and what the risks were. There were no empty promises made just to keep the client happy which I know sometimes occurs when seeking counsel. Since this was the first time going through a divorce I had many questions and to be honest, a little scared. When calling the office, Paulette took the time to make sure I understood everything that was going on along with all of the ramifications of both side’s decisions and requests. She kept the entire proceeding on track and the other attorney on task. I cannot say anything but positive comments here in regards to the top notch representation that I had. Paulette represented my significant other for short period of time before they parted ways. From my POV, she was extremely rude and talked down to him. I didn't see what value he was getting from the outrageous billables. Seeing how his new attorney was far competent (in my opinion), treated him better and the billables were much more reasonable. I would not recommend her.

Divorce is not an easy situation, especially when you are not the one who initiated it and when there is a child involved. Paulette explained all my options thoroughly, was patient in answering all my questions and had mine and my childs best interests in mind throughout the process. She kept me informed and updated through constant communication and follow through. Both she and Bob made what was a very difficult time in my life a little easier with their compassion and guidance. In my opinion and experience with Paulette, she was unprofessional, rude and talked down to me. She didn’t listen to my concerns and there was nothing worse then getting treated like a commodity/product then a person going through a tough situation. I personally believe she is over-priced. Take a big pass.
