Gregory Glenn Velasquez Attorney At LAW

Gregg Velasquez was my attorney and he was unprofessional, unprepared, lazy and could care less about me or my child. At one point Gregg asked me to write a child support check to him personally and he would assure it was delivered to the other attorney. It sounded fishy but he was my attorney so I trusted him. He pocketed the $1,200 child support check, --- it never made it to the other attorney or my child. Even though I paid him over $30,000 for his services over 8 months, which were practically non-existent. I was desperate to save my son and I was naïve and foolish, I put my trust in the wrong attorney. Fortunately, I mustered the courage to part ways with him mid case and hired an excellent attorney who helped to protect my son and my parenting rights. I called and e-mailed Gregg Velasquez multiple times about the $1,200 check he stole and he was non-responsive. This guy is a con artist and a fraud-- avoid him!

He took my money as my Court appointed mediator and never reported back to the Judge, hired a attorney after, The judge nor the new attorney did anything and I believe he should be held liable

Paid $400 cash and requested a receipt. Never received one. Also, I think he worked with the attorneys and stayed quiet when he knew it wasn’t right for what I was offered. Thought I’d let the experts lead me in the right direction and I was definitely steered wrong.

Mr. Velasquez still has retainer money due to me for a case that has been closed for years and there is no way to contact him. As far as his services, I would of did a better job representing myself.

Reported Velasquez to the Disciplinary Board of New Mexico in 2014 regarding four ethics violations. He has several of the same complaints on attorney rating websites. Check for yourself. I have no idea how the NM Bar can allow people like this to stay active.
