I hired this lawyer in 2012 for a civil case involving real estate in Greece. He asked and received a large retainer ($2,500) to work on the specific case I had explained to him in writing and orally. He replied with a vague letter sometime later basically telling me that he had to work on other issues related to my real estate before he deals with the case he was hired for, which obviously would require more time and money. When I questioned what he told me, he was rude and since then he was not available when I tried to communicate with him for over three months period. I had to hire another lawyer who took the case to end successfully without having to do first what Mr. Kounoupis told me I needed to do. However, Mr. Kounoupis kept all the retainer even if he did absolutely nothing for me. I caution anybody who plans to hire this lawyer to look carefully into his background and, for sure, avoid paying him a large retainer.
