Following my arrest, I consulted a few different law offices in southern Maine, ultimately deciding on Kristine Hanly’s. Kristine met with me personally and worked around my schedule. While the other attorneys would not give straight answers when asked about possible best-case scenarios though were all-too-eager to provide the worst-case ones, Kristine patiently helped me understand the complete range of potential outcomes while also managing realistic expectations. Throughout our contact, she also maintained a constant professional empathy to the stress brought on by my case. Even when in court, Kristine made it her priority to meet with me before, after, and during the proceeding, to help make sure I was aware of all that was happening. This was a courtesy that seemed more of an exception than the rule among the other attorneys. In the end, she was able to get my case dismissed without any loss in my privileges as a Mainer. She also spared me multiple appearances throughout the duration of the case, reached out to private parties on my behalf, going beyond her duty as my attorney, and was able to work with my financial situation in scheduling payments. Upon successful resolution of my case, Kristine made it clear that even though everything was resolved, she would still be available should I have any questions later on. While the whole situation was unfortunate, the one choice I made that I feel good about was contacting Kristine Hanly! I cannot recommend her enough!
