I came to Rebecca Guptil for counsel and representation in my divorce from a very high-conflict person. At the time, my former wife--an alcoholic with major depressive disorder--had become physically violent towards me, verbally degrading towards me, had moved her boyfriend into our family home, was being advised by her mother to make multiple false allegations against me, and so on and so on. This evaluation accurately captured the events and high-conflict characteristics of my former wife, and, in the end, helped hold my former spouse accountable for her behavior and actions that I had been enduring throughout the previous 6 months. With Rebecca's expertise, following the completion of the custody evaluation and based on the recommendations of the report, I was able to settle out of court with joint custody where I also have final decision authority. I did not feel comfortable with the lawyer. I do not feel comfortable with he time spent or the appointment or the charges. It was a very small amount of money but I just didn't feel good after leaving.
