Harvey & Vallini, LLC

Update: We received a call from the attorneys on site, apologizing for the delay. She Was very friendly and apologetic. They were able to work to get everything back on track, because of that we have decided to update our review as one bad person should not represent the entire firm. We used Harvey & Vallini as the builders preferred attorney. Absolutely awful decision! They have been the sole reason everything keeps getting delayed. They work incredibly slow and simply are unwilling to help with anything. The last closing attorney we used was fabulous - if you have a choice, go elsewhere.

This is a very unprofessional law firm. We called and emailed several times before the day of closing asking for a final number to bring. We were told all was ok and all we needed to bring was our IDs. We get to closing and find out we owe $1000 more dollars! No apologies, no nothing. Simply a go get the money and then you can have the keys. If it wasn't for the credit we got for using them through DR Horton, we wouldn't have used them. If given the opportunity again, I'd rather just pay the extra money. Just awful.

Troy Pierce the shade tree lawyer is a rude person with no personality and doesn’t even greet himself when he comes in. They screwed up my contract and didn’t add right Hoa fees or they pocketed money because I was charged more money for hoa which was supposed to be included in contract for first year. I called Pierce and told him about the charges, he then said that I was responsible for amount and I told him that we paid this when we closed. He said you are responsible for this and he will not pay anything, he then hung up on me. Use another attorney and you don’t have to use them with Dr. Horton homes. They are legal crooks and unprofessional. Believe me, I’m not one to complain but people need to know their options and this company is not a pleasant experience, rude people and unprofessional, bad with money. My mortgage guy will tell you this too. He had to deal with them 3 different times because Harvey and Vallini tried screwing them out of money 3 different times on closing date. Hopefully someone will put that Troy Pierce in his place, it will happen sooner or later.

Trying to close with them was a nightmare. Wanted to push off for two weeks because of “scheduling conflicts.We questioned what those conflicts were and then we were given a closing date and time later the same week. I’m still getting the run around for my plot plan so I can put up a fence. If I could give no stars I would.

By far the worst experience selling a house. These people have no idea how to put a contract together. They had to delay the closing 3 times to try and get it together then at the last minute called me to try and squeeze another 500 out of me. Very unprofessional, do YOURSELF a favor and use someone else
