Impervious Delivery!nI hired Janet Heins to handle my case with an employer whose actions included a retaliatory dismissal. She did a number of things right:n1) returned my initial phone call within 24 hours; other firms called back days later!n2) she and her associate met with me and gave me honest feedback as to the strength of my casen3) contacted my employer in a timely mannern4) worked with my specific needs and negotiated a settlement within two months so that I was able to move on with my lifen5) handled even the small details of making the settlement effective, even after she had been paid by my employernI felt that Janet was genuinely happy to assist me and took my case seriously. I would recommend Janet Heins to anyone that has been treated unfairly by their employer.

I've known Janet for a long time and I can tell you that she is extremely honest and has great integrity. She also cares deeply about her clients and the traumas they have faced in the workplace. I have worked with Janet in the past and am working for her presently, but I would say this and stand by it if I hadn't worked directly with her on cases. She also has an encyclopedic knowledge of employment law.

Our settlement check is late more months than not. This month had to call again two days ago and still nothing. Secretary forgot to mail it out and when I asked to drive an hour to pick it up like we've done several times before when they forget to mail it I was told no I can leave Janet a voicemail....I can't even talk to her secretary only her secretary's secretary to get an answer as to why I can't pick it up. Just a relayed message saying she's new...nWell turns out calling three days ago the secretary "forgot" to mail it and it's a week late and I offered to drive the hour and half to pick it up unfortunately we've had to do this multiple times when they forget and it gets to be almost a month late and I was told she'd be back in the office then no she wouldn't for the day and it's locked in there so try to pick up the second day and nope go figure bow supposedly the check didn't clear but will on Monday. (It's Friday) nA. Why wasn't that said when the secretary said she would mail it three days ago or at all? I would think that's a problem! nB. She's also psychic because she knows it'll clear Monday.nFrom the record of carelessness from an attorney who represents people who've obviously lost jobs unlawfully and are digging out of a hole and overdue bills and a two year old every month having to be reminded on top of auto deposit that was never set up after promising several months of how am I not to believe she's doing this on purpose. Especially with the apology from her secretary with a sigh and irritating demeanor like I'm an inconvenience and in Janet's words. That's all I can do. Sorry.nNot I apologize for once again ruining your credit due to our office moving(down the hall by the way)n

Janet is currently (2/13/17 and ongoing) being investigated by the Office for Lawyer Regulation. I have heard nothing but bad things. Find a different attorney.

I had Hein Law Firm represent me in 2012 against a large property management firm in milwaukee. I did work with Janet at the beginning and the end and a newer atty. in between. It did settle out of court rather quickly but because of a law the company I sued exercised and I wish I would have been told about but in general I was happy. My calls were returned, and my settlement was paid out with in a week of signing papers. At the final consult they took there time explaining everything to me. Matter of fact the reason I fell apon this is because I was looking up the number for my mother because she is going thru something at work. I would recommend
