Temple Avodah provides a sense of community like no other temple I have ever been associated with. Our rabbi is warm knowledgeable and inclusive. Our cantor always provides us with a wonderful service that embraces all age groups and she is intuitive in developing new age type of prayer. Our sisterhood and men’s club is outstanding and provides outstanding programs and events. I am truly happy to be a member of this temple

Temple Avodah is a home away from home. The Rabbi is inspirational. His discussions really make you think. I find myself repeating things he has said. Jessica Gubenko our Cantorial Soloist is just the best. She brings innovation to all the music. She is so very talented. Her working with all the choirs is just wonderful and you can tell all the kids love working with her. Temple has a place for everyone whether you are looking for Friday night services, Sisterhood events, Men's Club events, or just a place to meet new friends, you can find it all. I no longer have school age children, but the school is thriving. The teachers all love working with the kids and the kids seem to enjoy the program. If you are looking for a South Shore Synagogue, look no further, come and visit us and see what we have to offer.

I have been worshipping at Temple Avodah in Oceanside NY for over 26 years. I continue to join year after year because it’s my spiritual home. The congregation is warm, loving, welcoming and kind. During mitzvahs or hardships, the Rabbi and the Temple family are always by your side. You never have to walk alone. As we grow our congregation, new and wonderful people join our committees and make us better.
