I thought the woman was just emotional, now it's clear to me that she must have sold her to the other party as she almost did to me.nn If you are already working with her, fire her and ask for a copy of your file and take it to another lawyer for review. Hillary Brower is a crook. I paid her to represent me in court after my than husband abused me. She falsified the documents after I have signed them and she made my husband initial next to the changes. I only realized that months later after she was trying to convince me that I needed to comply with the unauthorized changes. In addition after she worked on my divorce for 8 months, it's only at the mediation table I realized that she did nothing. She convinced me that mediation is the first step of the process. Once I started to ask her too much questions she went and scheduled mediation for a few days later. She asked me to come to her office to discuss the upcoming mediation and to bring her a $2000 check. Once Toni, her paralegal, took the check she told me that she had a client waiting, we'll discuss at the court house the next day. Once there, she had another case the same day, which left me no time to talk to her. During the mediation, I saw for the first time her proposed settlement statement, that supposedly I agreed with. But we never had any conversation on the process. She never requested the right documents from the other party, she didn't file the right paperwork. At the mediation, I felt like I was in the room with my husband's two lawyers. Seeing how oblivious I was, one of the mediators volunteered more information than Hillary was hoping for. Furious, after the mediation I asked her to asked a sitdown so that I can better understand what was going on. She refused. I emailed her, she sent me a nasty email to request that I paid her $ 6000 for discovery. Any lawyer will tell you that discovery needs to be done before mediation, she was just trying to scam me out of more money. At this point it became clear to me what was going on, I fired her, it took several emails over several weeks before she finally gave me an incomplete version of my file. At least 2 lawyers told me the file was incomplete and far from being ready for mediation or trial. Feeling that I was going to write a complaint for her she went and sued me for money that she said I owed her, sending me 3 different invoices with 3 different $ amount. nNow, I am not only in court divorcing my abusive husband, I am also in court battling my crooked lawyer, Hillary Brower.

I must say that Goldstein law group is amazing. I have was so nervous about going to court for my daughter but they rest assured me that they had my best Interest at heart and they absolutely did. Mark and Francine treated my like family and and I can't thank them enough. Going to family court is never fun but when it is necessary use the Goldstein law group, you won't be let down.
