I hired Jae Kim as an attorney for a Landlord vs Tenant case. I am a landlord and my former tenant left my property leaving several damages. I used the security deposit to fix the damages that were left behind. However, the former tenant sued me for the security deposit. I hired Jae to defend what I used as security deposit. I have a lot to say, but to say it shortly, she did a horrific job. Later I realized she doesn't even practice Landlord vs Tenant as a service area. She made the case much complicated than it needed to be without even gathering proper evidence and documentation from me. She lacks organization because she couldn't provide documents that I asked for, she is slow in response, and she didn't even bring all the documentation and evidence like pictures to the first trial which eventually got rescheduled. She is a poor communicator and did not update me on the cost or invoice me throughout the entire time she represented me, then invoiced me 2 weeks before the trial and told me she wouldn't represent me unless I paid the amount, which was a ridiculously high. I even paid a portion of the total invoice. But she eventually withdrew from the case and made it much harder for me as I had to scramble to find a new lawyer. Please do your research and find another attorney.
