They provided a consultation on that first call, and it was just a couple of hours later that I decided to hire them for my case. AVOID - Used up a $15000 retainer in less than 1 month. Would charge 0.25 hr (@ $400 hour) for a one line email that he billed as a “letter.” His strategy was basically to agree with the other side to maximizing billing. Would actually take direction from opposing counsel so he can review the documents provided by opposing counsel. Also promised that he had knowledge and “was friends” with the arbitrator who – along with opposing counsel - just ignored Jim Alle’s emails which were drafted in the voice of the client. Not an advocate, but an operator who maximizes billing for unprofessional “from my ipad” emails.

Absolutely Horrible experience! Mid way through my divorce I realized he was NOT working for me but working on me by lining his pockets and I was going to walk away with nothing. One of the most unpleasant situations in my life. When I retained another lawyer he showed up to court pretending he didn’t know in an effort to make me look bad in front of the judge and turn her against me. I was divorcing a Narcissist yet I didn’t realize that I had hired one to help me!

Jim used a $40,000 retainer to make one court appearance. He generated massive amounts of non-legal non-substantive correspondence with opposing counsel and me, billing for every minute. Stay very far away from him.

Very rude on the phone. Didn't even want to hear my side of the story without it being my fault. Was yelling at me for no reason. Not a pleasant man. Will never refer this man.
