I was referred to this law firm by a family member after my father passed back in December. I was told the lawyer that would be taking my case would be partially retiring but was more than happy to take my case and get me appointed administrator of my father’s estate. I had to call them constantly for updates after sending them what they said they needed from me as I would hardly ever get any calls from them. I was told this would take a while so I gave the benefit of the doubt and waited patiently for an update on any sort of progress made on my case. I called a few weeks ago and was only told then that the lawyer I was working with fully retired and I would be working with the lawyer replacing him. I was basically given the run around for two months with zero progress. I contacted their office requesting to either have my father’s death certificate mailed back to me or if I could pick it up at their office and they didn’t give me the decency to call back and apologize for the major inconvenience they had caused. I hired a new lawyer and within four days I was appointed administrator of my father’s estate. I wish I had known sooner that it was not normal to take this long because it would have saved me so much unnecessary stress during the most painful time of my life. I would never recommend this firm to anyone and if I could give zero stars I would.

My Mom Kay Carney hired this practice to erect a Last Will & Testimant. I Andrew Carney lost my Mom at 76yrs old barely a year after retirement of 55yrs in the health field, on Father's Day weekend of 2021. A month or so later receive documents to be signed by myself Andrew Carney being the only child was left "a car, interest in her house, and all the rest, residue, and remainder property, of whatsoever kind and nature, and whatsoever situate or being, which I hearby devise and bequeath to my son, Andrew T. Carney,, if he survived me". I signed, dated, and mailed back the documents mailed to me from Brown, Craig, and Hunt. Approximately a month or two later the car left to me was sold and funds were kept by my uncle's. I called, left voicemails, emails, etc My questions and answers to what I had signed with Brown, Craig, and Hunt who It's now nine month laters being today March 13 2021 and my Mom's legality has yet been closed, nor have I received any support from this practice, and what has happened needs to be addressed. It was suggested to contact NYBAR Association for help. I will look into my rights to contest these matters if not corrected as well. Today May 6, 2023. Nearly 2yrs later receive document from this practice to come to find out I'm now the Executor. Which I can't wait to research the mess this practice started. Kelly got caught up in a lie today with my daughter listening to all. Honestly move forward to a practice you trust with your gut and pass on this one. My name is Andrew Carney. Closing attorneys for real estate. Unprepared for the closing the paperwork was not complete. The attorney that showed up did not know what was going on. Would not recommend this firm to anyone. If there was negative stars to check they would all be checked. Stay far away.
