KVS TITLE is the only Settlement/Title Company my Brokerage uses (Seven Real Estate Associates). KVS TITLE serves the DMV area. They have 7 offices in the DMV. I have used many Title Company's over the past 25 years and none compare to the excellence of KVS TITLE. In particular, JACKIE SHUMATE and MELISSA GIOVE BRAULT are the key executives at KVS TITLE. JACKIE is an outstanding Settlement Processor and MELISSA is Vice President. Check out KVS TITLE. You will be pleased with their efficiency.
I was a seller representative of an estate. My realtor wisely suggested that we consider KVS as this was an estate/trust situation. He felt it would be prudent to have the title company review the trust document prior to listing the property to determine if the trust was properly written or if we needed to provide additional documentation to successfully settle once a contract was written. The KVS attorney needed a few documents and then gave us the green light. We got a contract from a buyer who was getting a loan with a 10 day settlement. 10 days is not very long to get title work and everything that is needed to settle a house. Heidi Kelly at KVS rocked it. She was on top of every detail and was in super responsive. We successfully settled on the contract date. I loved the fact that KVS has 7 locations so I could choose a location convenient to me - to sign. It was an excellent experience!
Professional and extremely easy to communicate with. Their attention to detail is very helpful when closing in a house purchase.
Excellent service. I have worked with many title companies in the past, but none of them comes close to KVS. I was very impressed with their professionalism and the thoroughness of their work. I will certainly refer them to my friends and clients. They even sanitize the office after each settlement. Wow! That is so awesome!
I thought everything with this company went well until my water heater in the condo they helped me buy started leaking in under 5 months and damaged my kitchen floors. When I tried to tap into my H06 insurance to have them help repair my floors, I found out that the title company sent the check to the wrong insurance company (how does an error/oversight this huge even happen?!) When I called the insurance company KVS sent my money to, they said they cashed the check but did not have me as a customer in their system. I couldn't even get them to give the money back nor did this title company lift a finger to try to help. No apologies either. It took everything in me not to curse out the people involved in my closing. In hindsight, I should have made the time to babysit a bunch of "professionals" and make sure they were doing their jobs correctly. Be careful if you decide to do business with this company.
