While Nathan himself is a very competent attorney, the office manager a Mrs Shelley Powell left a lot to be desired, I was told in December of 2022 that my case would be settled by the end of January at the latest, and in February I was told that it would be another 30 days due to an unexpected lien placed on my case by Medicare for the medical bills, which is fairly standard or so I'm told by everyone I know that has had the misfortune to experience this kind of thing. Nathan did negotiate with medicare and mitigate the $70,000 medical bills down to a meager $4,000 (Go Nathan!) And he even got my former employer Jimmy John's to pay them, but when I was anxiously awaiting the check and on the verge of homelessness in March she told me yet again that it was going to be another 30 to 45 days and I really couldn't believe it, the check was finally issued on 6/8/23 and for reasons that I simply cannot fathom it is drawn on a bank that's only in Indianapolis, now my present circumstances are of my own making, but why would you give a person that you know is going through it and desperately waiting for some relief a check that is either going to cost $250 to cash or must be taken to Indy so I can cash it for $7, I guess I shouldn't have expressed my displeasure at being told that it was going to be another 30 days for six months
