Laurie Nevers Attorney At Law

Laurie Nevers was my high school son’s court appointed attorney to represent him in establishing paternity and a parenting plan in Ramsey County Family Court. Overall, I feel she did a poor to negligent job. She did not return phone calls, ignored emails and when we were at the court hearing, went against requests made by my son, stating that her way was the way it is normally done, and then wrote them into the court order stating they were agreed upon. Ms Nevers showed no compassion or concern for the best interests of my son, her client, or his child, whom she knew was living with his mother in a negligent and possibly unsafe environment. She made decisions that dragged out the process (possibly to give her more billable hours??) instead of a speedier resolution which finally allowed my son to spend time with his son. Ms Nevers and the mother’s lawyer wrote a parenting plan, ignoring many of the issues my son wanted included. I would not recommend working with Ms Nevers. In fact, I do not think she should be on the roster of court appointed attorneys. Our life and relationship with the mother became more difficult after working with Laurie Nevers . We would have been better off without any attorney at all. If anyone would like to further discuss our experience with Ms Nevers, I would be happy to communicate with them.

She was my PC. The mother followed the court order about 5% of the time. I asked Laurie for help getting the time and other things back. She couldn't have cared less. I can prove what I am saying here. The judge ordered make up time for all of the mothers wrong doing. She (the mother) no showed me. It took over 1.5 years (June 20th 2013 to Dec 30th 2014) before she even attempted to give me back any of the days that were taken from me. Laurie believesin what I call "mommysota". Based on how she treated me from the beginning. ..... not even caring to here some issues I wanted something done about. The judge in my case has issued a court order stating that the mother has knowingly lied to the police the courts and child protection. the referee has stated that the mother is a nuisance litigant. Even with all of this Laurie did almost nothing to help me. If you are a father treat Laurie as if she is a disease stay away you will not get any help from her only a big lawyers fee.
