Reviews

Read through all 1 star reviews and they are 100% true. I have too experienced every single thing the 1star reviews claim. No matter what the firm responds saying “it’s not true” or “it’s not possible” they’re only trying to clear their name by lying even more. This place is a WASTE of thousands of dollars. 1- they don’t double check paperwork before sending…. We had numerous paperwork we sent in but didn’t get added to our packet and caused our waiver to be denied. 2- the moment our waiver was denied they rushed us to pay again because “we could get an interview at any moment and if there is no new waiver the whole case will be denied” and as soon as we paid they switched it up to “there’s no way you’re getting an interview if the new waiver has not been approved yet”. How are you going to tell us we could get an interview at any moment and then after paying tell us we have to wait at least a year for that to happen????? 3- they will not update you on your case whatsoever. We keep up on the case online, our EAD got approved and we picked it up but they called us TWO MONTHS later with the news.. we told them we picked it up as soon as we got a notification on the USCIS website that it had arrived at the firm. They took two months to let us know! 4- after reading the responses this firm makes… it really angers me how RUDE they are to people who have given them thousands of their own money to them. It really paints a picture to how this firm really treats their customers. 5- the latest update on our I-130 was November of 2021.. 14months. They tell you so many things, we were first told it would never go this far without any updates and now they tell us “it’s normal” and can’t tell us anything or answer any questions. 6- not ONCE when they say “we’ll call you back” have they called back. They use it as a phrase to get rid of you. This is not the first review mentioning this. If I could go back in time I would have 100% gone to a different law firm. As many have said. They are careless with your paperwork, take your money, and away with you.
I've started my U.S. Citizenship case with the Law Office of Erika N. Salter and the Paralegal Cesar whom has been very helpful throughout my case has answered all of my questions, they go above and beyond for their customers. I highly recommend.
I have been waiting for someone to call me back for 3 weeks. I have followed up and no one has an answer for me. On top of the fact that service w them all across the board has been less than great.
Erika did help my husband and I. She got him home with a green card and visa. It took 2 and a half years. You will have to be calling and checking that the documents you sent in have arrived. You have to be calling to make sure you're doing things correctly. If you're not 100% fluent in Spanish, you will have communication problems. Nobody here spoke clear English but Erika. You will not be able to speak with her. Understandably. The turnover is what was terrible. An important document that needed to submitted to uscis was in a box for almost 2 months because the woman who was working with my husband's case had quit! I called almost every day to speak with her and all they told me was that she wasn't in. So I went to the office and asked to speak with someone about my husband's case. They then told me after waiting for an hour and a half that she no longer worked there. 2 months of my life wasted. I didn't go in sooner because they told me that if I had sent in something like that document, it would be submitted immediately. Updated response about my so called case. I have emails from the time frame when my husband's case was opened. We're talking about 2013. And the woman who left your fast turn over facility, was Claudia. She was amazing. You won't find a case for my email because the case was for my husband. Also my email is a nickname. I never just walked in. I made an appointment and the woman who helped me Mariela is the one who told me about Claudia not coming in anymore. So let me post my proof of my husband being a client and a fast turnover. Also I don't go around making false statements.
Update 31-01-23 It is officially two years since we initially contact the Erika Law Office and we are continuing to wait... Initial review: 3 months ago We are very upset about the case. We have paid for our three children, and as far as I can tell, they have not properly followed through on the case. First, they give me a case number that was not correctly copied and sent it to me (it was missing one number). Not too big of a deal, I work in computers and understand we all make typos. However, the big issue is when we asked the help of another lawyer to check the status of our case. The new lawyer mentioned that our case was incomplete for each of the three children, which means the CEAC does not even know about our case! At this point, we had been waiting for a response from the CEAC for 20 months, at the time of this review, it has been 21 months. I spoke with my assigned paralegal to share my concern. I was told that the law office had manually sent in the documents and it was just taking time for the CEAC to process and update their system. I was then told we would probably have to wait another 6 months to a year, before we get an appointment. I tried to explain my confusion of how their own law office mentions it would take about 8 - 12 months to receive a response, AND how the government site says it takes about 12 months to receive a response. WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY KIND OF RESPONSE FROM THE CEAC FOR 18 MONTHS SINCE THE INITIAL PETITION EMAIL THAT THE CEAC SENT. So, I am now trying to contact the supervisor to get an explanation to see what is happening. It has been a week of trying to contact Wanda, the supervisor, and leaving messages with their receptionist without any email or call-back (I have an out of country number, so I'll give them a benefit of the doubt for this). I have not received any update from my current paralegal, Alejandro, since I last spoke with him 7 days ago, though I had called a left a message for him as well. However, due to our annoyance they completed the task of completing the DS260 application ON THE CEAC SITE, which the other lawyer is telling us SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED WAY BACK IN 2021. However, as I navigate the CEAC site, it appeas the law office only completed 2 of the 3 DS260 applications. We are paying for a service, and I honestly don't trust they are doing it correctly or in a timely manner. From what I understand, the petitions should have already been approved and it turns out we have to wait another year. However, I have spoken twice with Emma, another paralegal not currently assigned to my case, and I had positive experiences with her. I trust her word much more, and I'd much rather prefer to talk with her, but I assume she is swamped with other things. I was thinking of just giving 2 stars just because of my two conversations with her, but really not too happy with the whole situation so I'll just leave it at 1. So I will continue to try to contact the manager for an explanation.
