I used Jennifer as a mediator in a modification of child support. I was self-represented (pro-Se'), as I was quite familiar with opposing counsel, who tends to drive up the cost of litigation and often wins through disorganization by causing confusion (wasn't going to let that happen). I found Jennifer to be professional, kind, and fair to both parties. With my being Pro-Se', she was sure that my calculations were correct and offered helpful compromises without bias or overstepping the boundaries of a mediator (as I have seen other individuals in this city do). My experience in this town, in general, is that the legal arena is somewhat behind-the-times ...a "good-ole-boys' club," you could say. There are much better attorneys to pick from. After spending a small fortune on her. We showed up in court. She couldn't pronounce my exes name. Had 2 questions prepared. She charged me 2k alone "to prepare questions and statements in court." As what was labeles in the billing statement...1k a question Uh no. We went to mediation and she sat their while the mediator hounded me telling me I should give my ex what he wanted. The judge would do it anyways. The only thing she said in their is for me not to do what I don't want to do. they talked fishing and hiking the remainder of my 2 hour mediation session. She was an expensive mistake.

Excellent representation. Extremely ethical, intelligent and a caring professional. Ms. James and her paralegal are the best.
