When you first meet him, he might sound like the perfect lawyer for you but don’t be fooled so easily. Once you have him for more than one case, he’ll eventually turn on you out of nowhere & doesn’t want to put in all the work others would and wants more and more money for doing nothing. He claims he cares and is “for the people” but he’s nothing more than greedy like all the rest. I highly advise getting a different lawyer that knows what they’re talking about. He will also say one thing and claim later that he never told you that & will get angry enough that he just yells and verbally abuses you. Please don’t waste your time. It’s not worth it & will cause more stress than relief.

I have to agree with other posts I’ve read here; can’t give anything less than a Zero, he is Verbally Abusive, Evasive, Dishonest, Unreasonable and Misleading. He will run you in circles and waste your time on issues he already knows cannot be resolved and will con you into paying him money he does not have coming. He likes talking, but does not listen and will not disclose information he should. Do not waste your time or money.

I would highly recommend Michael Portnoy. He went way out of his way to help us, understood what we were going through and fought hard for us..even going the extra mile. More then what most lawyers would. He really cares about his clients. It's not just about money with him. I cannot say enough good stuff about him.

I have needed Mike's services twice in the past five years for two totally different reasons. Mike has helped me out tremendously and was prepared for what came our way. If I need an attorney I will be calling Mike because I trust him.
