Law Office Of Richard Cahan

Reviews

I recently had an issue where I unintentionally became a landlord (sublease situation gone bad) and I had no idea how to get the non-paying tenant out of my apartment. Richard helped me through the whole process and thoroughly explained everything as we went on. The best part? He was very easy to get into contact with. Without his efforts, I know that we wouldn't have been able to handle this on our own. I highly recommend him! I hope I never have to go through this again, but if I do then he will be my first call. Thanks again, Richard!
We hired Richard Cahan after a tenant trashed our house and disappeared without paying the last month of rent. Richard was extremely organized. He knew our case inside and out, and helped us get a judgement against the renter which covered all of the damages, legal fees, and missing rent. He always responded to our emails in a timely fashion. He was even able to make it so we did not have to go to court and instead could give our testimony by phone. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for down to earth, competent help with a legal matter.
When I was in the midst of a really tenuous landlord / tenant situation, I reached out to Richard Cahan Law for help. At first, he helped me approach the situation with free advice and a few long phone conversations. When I realized I wouldn't be able to handle the situation alone, I hired Richard. Not only was his cost reasonable but he and his assistant were with me every step of the way! They helped resolve a very stressful and scary situation with confidence and professionalism. I will appreciate Richard Cahan and his assistant forever!
What kinda of law office doesn't answer their phone during business hours?
Richard represented me when an apartment complex was violating the lease and law when retaining my security deposit. He did a great job, and his fees, which were very reasonable, were paid by the apartment complex when they saw that I had a good attorney and I could not be jerked around anymore. Because of him I was able to stand up for my rights as a matter of principle.
