Deceptive Behavior:nnOn Wednesday, August 1, 2018, I called and spoke directly with Linda Darlene Lucero, Atty, concerning a dental malpractice dilemma. Linda sounded caring and concerned and said yes, I can help you with that malpractice problem, and hence I gave her all my pertinent contact info. Linda, in turn, also gave me both her office and cell phone numbers. She said she was in the doctor's office and couldn't talk at that moment but would call me right back in about 10 minutes, when she was in her car driving. I didn't hear back from her in over four hours, so I called again and left a voice message. Still didn't hear back from Linda that day, so I called her office the very next morning, Thursday, and spoke with Odette, her office receptionist, and asked Odette to please give Linda a message to return my call asap, Odette said she would. By the end of the same day I still, again, hadn't heard back from Linda, all day. Now I'm thinking and realizing something unseemly, inapt and inept is going on and decided, one more time, to give Linda the benefit of any doubt, and again called her office. Odette answered, and I mentioned that I still haven't heard back from Linda. Odette said that she did put a note with my call back message on Linda's desk. I then explained to Odette, in very clear detail, what had transpired on the previous day, that Linda promised to call me back within 10 minutes, Odette said it was the first she had heard of this but would see to it that Linda gets back to me, promptly. And, I even asked Odette point blank, that in any event whether Linda was still interested in my case, or not, would she personally please, at least, out of basic service call me to let me know the status of Linda's position? Odette again assured and promised me that she personally would call me to let me know the state of the situation. Today, Monday, August 6, 2018, five days later, I still never heard back from either Linda nor Odette. Being now totally fed up and out patience, I feel that Linda's behavior, in my opinion, lacked the simple everyday act of common courtesy, was inconsiderate, insensitive, very rude, notwithstanding exceptionally unprofessional. And, that Linda Darlene Lucero, Atty, is by not executing the very values, ethics and standards of the legal profession, that she ostensibly embraces, is by her own actions (or, lack thereof) herself guilty of malpractice. I would never refer nor recommend Linda to anyone interested in fair treatment and justice!

I've dealt with a number of attorneys throughout my life, both good and bad attorneys. I have to say this attorney was one of the worst experiences I've ever encountered/hired. To summarize my experience with this Law Office, "when the going gets tough, she quits". In addition, she caused me to lose thousands of dollars. Seriously folks, look elsewhere. This attorney promises to deliver, selling herself as a tough cookie, then once she gets the case, finds out how difficult it is (even though the merits of the case, and it's issues were disclosed upfront), she quits after her first appearance in court.nnNeedless to say, I had high hopes for this attorney, given all that she had said and promised prior to getting the case. It was not just the quitting part that bothered me, but how she did it, and how rude and mean she became towards me afterwards.nnUnfortunately, there are many other attorneys, like this one, who will say whatever they need to say, to get your business. The only advice I can offer, is to write down their promises verbatim, send their own words back to them, in writing, and have them acknowledge & sign a contract with the promises included, as an addendum to your agreement with them. Spell out exactly, not just the terms and conditions, but include the actual promises made.nnIf they refuse to signed it, or include their promises in the agreement, immediately head for the exit...
