To Bibo Hafez: So sorry for your experience with Attorney Ann Barcher. But just wanted to put in a word about the lady in her defense. I don't know her personally and was never involved with her personally, but I do know some things first hand about her. She was not a crook in the sense you wrote about her, and I doubt she deliberately set out to steal your money. Please read on: Right about the time you wrote your review, Attorney Ann Barcher had already become very very ill. That is legitimate and is 100% the truth. Worse, shortly after she took so ill, she died. She had no living husband since he had pre-deceased her many many years before her death, and she had no children either, so it's not likely anyone was aware of the work she was doing for her clients or the monies she collected from them. It all happened rather quickly since she had been ill for a while but was working from home during her illness as the illness grew worse. Her death came as a surprise to many and for a long time many people didn't even know she had died, including other attorneys who she worked with and who knew her. I hope you've been able to get all your money back from the executor of her estate or otherwise (maybe attorney insurance or NYS Attorney Funds of some sort?). I would think if those responsible for Ms. Barcher's affairs after she died knew about you and the money you lost, they would've returned it to you. Again, sorry for your experience, but I happen to know first hand the circumstances that surrounded the end of this attorney's life and I felt I just had to write this to share it with you. It's easy to feel swindled out of money, it can happen easily, and it does happen very often. While I can't speak to the nature or details of your specific situation, I just wanted you to know what became of her, if you didn't already know. I just happened to stumble across your review of her and felt compelled to share what I know truthfully about the circumstances surrounding the last days of her life. Again, I'm sorry you experienced a bad time. I hope whatever you were looking to achieve through Attorney Ann Barcher you were able to achieve through another attorney. Best wishes to you.
