In Nov 2022, I met with Ann M. Carrozza who charged $450 for a consult to discuss updating my estate. The $450 would be deducted from the overall cost. The Office refuses to schedule an appointment unless a check is received. This policy was a surprise since I’ve established a long term 10 year relationship with this Office. Her associate provided excellent elder care and estate services for me and my mother. At our Nov 2023 mtg, Ann did not discuss fees but meticulously took notes to update my estate and offered sound advice for a 1/2 hour consult. My portfolio is an electronic template. The next day, I received an invoice for $4500 to update my estate, and it was then disclosed that her office does not amend wills and the Office is confused as to whether it updates trusts Ann’s lack of transparency regarding policy and fees border on poor ethical conduct and at the least is unprofessional. Please do not schedule unless her fees are clearly stated upfront- including no will amendments. It’s disappointing that she lacks the integrity to honor long term relationships and transparency. Her focus is profit only. .
Ann-Margaret Carrozza and her team helped me and our family with our estate planning needs. They met with us frequently, and answered all our questions pertaining to elderly estate planning. Ann Marget and her team has set the gold standard, with the technical insight, candor, friendly and professional approach. I really appreciated all the help they provided, and I highly recommend Ann Marget and the staff at the Law Offices of Ann-Margaret Carrozza.
I heard Ann Margaret Carrozza speak at my church and at a number of other events geared towards older adults. She was patient, used simple ways to explain complex matters and kind. She gave of her time generously. When we decided to work with her on our my mother's estate, we knew we made the right choice. We met the rest of the staff, including Christine Sammaratino and found them to be well informed and always available. When the difficult time came to settle the estate, it was handled professionally and efficiently and with a great deal of compassion.
My husband and I have had the pleasure of working with the attorneys at The Law Offices of Ann-Margaret Carrozza for several times over the last five years. He came to them after doing a search for elder-care lawyers in our area. My husband had a consultation with Ann-Margaret to review his elderly mother’s situation and needs, and then retained the firm for all the legal work—a power of attorney, will, health care proxy, and estate planning services. This past autumn, we retained them for all the same services for ourselves. We’ve worked with Debra Kruper and Maureen Wynne throughout this period. They are exceptionally professional, thorough, and generous with time and advice. That would be sufficient reason to retain this woman-owned law firm, but they also possess a rare quality of empathy and generosity of spirit. Whenever a home visit was necessary to get papers signed, they came to Mom’s or our home. If we needed an extra witness, they provided one. Whenever we had a question, or needed help sorting out a thorny situation, they were always available by phone or email or in person. The small fee my husband paid for the initial consultation (which was deducted in full from all the legal work we did) was a big and valuable investment in Mom’s security and in our own. We’ve been extremely happy with their services over the last five years. I know that we have done well by the next generation of our family by retaining lawyers who are not just really good at their jobs and fierce, committed defenders of our interests, but are also good, honest people with generous hearts and compassion (as well as street smarts). If I could give them a million stars, I would.
Ann Carrozza has helped my family as well as myself over the years with various planning issues. Ann is great at providing suggestions on how a Will should be properly structured to save future taxes and headaches. Ann is excellent in explaining various strategies by using Trusts to help protect family assets. Ann is extremely bright but more importantly she is a nice person and her skills in making my parents feel confident recently are second to none! Ann was able to explain complex and tricky laws in terms most people can understand. My Mom loves her! (Maybe because she saw her on TV?) Ann is very professional, and I highly recommend her for Elder Law and Estate Planning issues. If you are looking for someone that is trustworthy and extremely competent in what she does, you need to meet and work with Ann. While all legal work can be pricey, her fees are reasonable and well worth the savings she undoubtedly will save my family in the future.
