Law Offices Of Barbara Stewart, Pllc

Reviews

I used the Law Offices of Barbara Stewart for a recent closing on a townhouse. The closing went without a hitch--Barbara Stewart gets the credit for this. Everyone was very friendly and at the same time very professional. Most of my interactions were with Sharon--she was very easy to talk to, prompt to reply, and very supportive. I had some interaction with Angela--she was also very helpful. I will gladly recommend the office for any house closings.
As a mortgage broker, my office uses Barbara's office frequently for closings. They have a wonderful team there, not just Barbara but her paralegal and legal assistant as well! Highly recommend them to anyone!!
Great attorney. She is bilingual, speak English and Spanish
Great attorney's office. Courteous, thorough, precise, and prompt - everything you could want in a real estate attorney.
My initial experience was good and the Staff were really nice however the attorney lacks any professionalism or customer service skills. The lawyer did title work while I was still in my inspection period and the contract fell through. When I went into the office to pick up my deposit she asked me to pay for the service. After explaining that I didn’t understand why no one contacted me about doing this work beforehand, she insisted I pay for it anyway. I agreed however asked for the title paperwork for my records which she provided to me initially. I had some questions which she answered then went on to ask if I could sell this to a new buyer and she got all defensive and crazy and abruptly said if I took the title work to another lawyer she would be very mad with me and that I needed to not consider their business going forward. I told her I was concerned with her being so defensive and hateful toward me as I was only asking questions to understand my options and she was not being very professional and I had no intention of taking the title work to another lawyer. I just wanted to know what my options were and if I could recoup some of the costs for the title work. She jerked the title paperwork from my hands then tried to jerk the invoice from my other hand which I was also holding my deposit check with as well. She said that it was her name on the title work and that it was not worth the 116 dollars to let me have the information. I told her that she was not being very customer friendly and that honestly it concerns me and I feel now that she is hiding something from me. I handed her the invoice and told her that she is very unprofessional and she should never jerk papers from a customers hands like that and I walked out. It was a very bad experience to say the least. She’s got some real issues to act in that manner with a customer and I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone nor would I ever consider using her in the future.
